APDCL Recruitment 2024
The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has released two official notifications for the recruitment of 130 Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO) positions under the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) and Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited (AEGCL). Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications via the official APSC web portal.
APDCL Recruitment Details
Name of Post: Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO)

Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce from a recognized university with at least 55% marks or its equivalent in B.Com overall, 55% marks in Honors/Major subject (B.Com), or a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or its equivalent for Arts or Science graduates with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects. Alternatively, candidates must have 55% marks or its equivalent in Mathematics/Statistics as Honors (BA/B.Sc). For departmental candidates and those belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe, the minimum required marks in a bachelor’s degree is 50%.
Computer Proficiency: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in computer applications and hold a diploma certificate in computer applications with a minimum duration of three months.
Pay Scale: Pay Band-3, Rs. 25,000 – Rs. 92,000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 11,000 and other allowances as per the applicable rules.
Other Criteria of APDCL Recruitment
Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 21 years old and no older than 38 years as of January 1, 2024.
Age Relaxation: The upper age relaxation will be as follows.

Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Residency: The candidate must be domiciled in Assam.

Employment Exchange: Candidates must be registered in any Employment Exchange Office in Assam.
Small Family Norms: No person with more than two living children from single or multiple partners on or after 1st January 2021 shall be eligible for appointment as per the Government policy on Small Family Norms.
