Assam Polytechnic Admission 2024
The Directorate of Technical Education in Assam has released an official notification concerning the admissions for various polytechnic diploma courses at State Government Polytechnics in Assam for the 2024-25 academic session. This announcement invites online applications from candidates who are permanent residents of Assam. However, it excludes those applying under the Central Government employees’ quota. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications online to be considered for admission into these diploma courses.

According to the official notification, admission to various polytechnic courses under the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam, will be based on the marks obtained in the HSLC Exam. Therefore, no Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) will be conducted for the 2024-25 session. For more information, please refer to the information brochure.
Eligibility Criteria of Polytechnic Admission
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the HSLC or its equivalent examination in a single sitting with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects. They must also have individually passed both the Theory and Practical exams in Mathematics and Science. Additionally, candidates must meet the required marks in Mathematics and Science according to their category.

Application Fee for Polytechnic Admission
Application Fee: To complete the online application process for Polytechnic Admission, candidates need to pay Rs. 300/- along with any applicable bank charges.
Online Mode of Payment: Candidates can pay the application fee using State Bank Collect, which allows payment through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
Offline Mode of Payment: Candidates can also make the payment in cash at any State Bank of India branch. This requires generating a Cash Deposit form from State Bank Collect during the final step of the online application.
