Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme Fellowship

Beneficiary students will receive Rs. 5,400 per month for general degree courses and Rs. 7,800 per month for technical and professional courses, including medical and paramedical courses, through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Eligibility Criteria of Ishan Uday Scholarship

Eligible Educational Institutions: Students who are domiciled in the North Eastern Region (NER) and have completed Class XII or an equivalent examination from a school within the NER, through any recognized Board of Education such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), or National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) within the NER, and who have secured admission in general degree courses, technical and professional courses, including medical and paramedical courses (integrated courses included), at recognized Universities, Colleges, or Institutions are eligible.

➥ Deemed to be Universities included under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 and eligible to receive grants-in-aid from UGC.

➥ Institutions recognized by other Statutory councils within as well as outside.

Course Semester/Class: Eligibility is limited to students who are in their first year or first semester of their course.

Course: For integrated degree courses, the scholarship is available for the entire duration of the course. For dual degree courses, the scholarship is applicable only for the first degree. The university must specify this when recommending a candidate for the scholarship.

Family Income: Only students whose parents have an annual income of no more than Rs. 4.5 lakhs are eligible.

Reservation: Students in the transgender category are also eligible for this scheme, with reservations applied according to government regulations.

Exclusions of Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme

1Students pursuing courses/ programs through Open Universities.
2Students already availing scholarship for pursuing the Undergraduate programme under any other scheme(s).
3Students gaining admission through ‘management quota’.
4Students pursuing courses, such as Diploma Courses, not leading to the award of a Degree.
5Students whose parent’s income is more than Rs.4.5 lakhs per annum.

➥ Now, you will have to fill in Contact Details, Scheme Details and Upload Documents.
